About Me

Hi! I’m Amanda Pelay, a fourth-year Health Promotion and Behavior student at the University of Georgia. Through my studies and community involvement, I have developed a strong interest in minority health, mitigation of health disparities, and income-inequality, specifically in Hispanic communities.
I have been involved with a few community service organizations in Athens, and currently am volunteering with Athens Free Clinic as a Spanish interpreter.
My ultimate goal is to become a physician assistant, working with low-income and medically underserved communities, advocating for equitable care and health.
Please continue to explore my e-portfolio to see what I have been working on these past few years and the issues that have been important to me thus far.
Thank you!
